Celebrity Infinity in Kuşadası: fitting a safari into your port day
Ask two Celebrity Infinity passengers from different sailings when their ship is in Kuşadası, and you may well get two different answers. The port schedule as of early October 2026 lists 21 calls over the next 12 months. They fall on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays, one Friday and one Saturday, with five different sets of port hours. That sounds messy, but the conclusion is simple: our 11:00 safari fits every one of those calls except Sunday 28 March 2027, which falls in our winter closure, and our 16:00 safari fits none.
What changes from date to date is how much time you have either side of the ride. This post explains how to read your own date. The full list of Celebrity Infinity calls gives every date with its current hours.
Five timetables, one tour that fits
Celebrity Infinity is a Millennium-class ship that Celebrity Cruises has sailed since 2001. She carries about 2,170 passengers. Here is how her Kuşadası hours break down:

Our rule is that you must be back at the port at least 60 minutes before the ship leaves. Every line in that table clears it comfortably. The rule for the morning tour is that the ship is in by 10:10 and leaves at 15:15 or later, and all of her calls do.
The 07:00 arrivals are all in spring 2027: Sunday 28 March, Thursday 8 April, Sunday 18 April and Thursday 29 April. The first of those is the exception: our safaris are closed from 1 December to 31 March, so 28 March is the winter closure and there is no safari that day, whatever the clock says. They run again from April. The two 09:00 arrivals, on Thursday 22 July and Tuesday 14 September 2027, are the tighter mornings. Have breakfast early on those days and be ready to go ashore promptly.
A typical Celebrity Infinity morning
Most calls, 12 of the 21, run from 08:00 to 18:00, so here is that day:
- 08:00 Celebrity Infinity arrives. There is time for breakfast and a walk along the harbour.
- 10:10 meet us at the Kervansaray meeting point (The Big Ottoman Palace), about 50 m from the cruise port exit. Here is the map.
- About 15 minutes by road to the start, in the pine forest behind Pamucak beach.
- 11:00 about two hours of riding, including a 30-minute sea break on Pamucak beach.
- 13:45 to 14:15 back at the port.
- 18:00 the ship sails.
The all-aboard time in your ship's daily programme is usually earlier than the departure time. Use that time, not 18:00, when you plan your afternoon.
The October evenings that almost fit 16:00
Two calls in October 2026 stay until 20:00: Sunday 18 October and Tuesday 27 October. It is natural to wonder whether the afternoon session works on those days. It does not, and here are the numbers. The 16:00 tour is back at the port between 18:45 and 19:15. A 20:00 departure leaves 45 minutes after the latest return, and we need 60. For the afternoon session the ship would have to leave at 20:15 or later. So on those two dates, as on every other in-season call, book the 11:00 tour. You will simply have a longer free evening afterwards.
Driving or riding: which safari suits you
On the buggy safari and the quad safari you drive yourself. No licence is needed, but drivers must be 16 or older. Single and double vehicles are available, and everyone gets a helmet, goggles and a safety briefing before following a guide in convoy. Children younger than about 2 years cannot join. The horse safari suits beginners from age 8, or younger children with an experienced companion, and rides in a small group with a riding guide. Swimming during its beach break depends on the season. With calls in October and from April to September, that is worth keeping in mind.
