Emerald Raiya in Kuşadası: matching your cruise papers to a safari

Eight dates, June to October 2027, and not one clock time next to any of them. That is how the port schedule as of early October 2026 shows Emerald Raiya in Kuşadası. We would treat that list as a starting point rather than the final word, and the document that really counts is the one Emerald Cruises sends you.

Emerald Raiya is an Emerald Cruises ship for up to 128 guests, according to the line. Everything we know about her Kuşadası visits sits on the Emerald Raiya ship page, which changes whenever the port schedule does.

Dates listed in the port schedule

The first date listed is Tuesday 22 June 2027, then Tuesday 20 July. August is the busy month: Wednesday 18, Monday 23 and Tuesday 31 August, three visits inside two weeks. September brings Friday 10 and Monday 20 September, and the last listed date is Friday 1 October 2027.

So her Kuşadası season is a summer and early-autumn one, with nothing at all from now until late June. That also means none of her dates lands in our closed period, 1 December to 31 March; by the time she turns up, we will have been riding since 1 April. Tuesdays come up most often (three times), but Mondays and Fridays appear twice each, so there is no single weekday you can count on.

Please read those dates as "listed in the port schedule", nothing firmer. Schedules can shift between now and next summer, and we have no way of confirming them from our side. If your booking shows a different day, your booking wins.

Start with your own cruise documents

Before you plan any part of the Kuşadası day, take out your cruise confirmation or itinerary and look for three things:

1. The date of the Kuşadası call. Does it match one of the eight above? If not, go by your documents and check the ship page again nearer the time.
2. Arrival and departure times. The port times have not been announced yet in the schedule we use, but your cruise line may print them in your paperwork or in the daily programme on board.
3. The all-aboard time. It is usually earlier than the departure time, and it is the one to plan around.

Once you have those, the rest is simple arithmetic. You need to be back at the port at least 60 minutes before the ship leaves. That gives two tests:

• the 11:00 tour works if Emerald Raiya is in port by 10:10 and departs at 15:15 or later;
• the 16:00 tour works if she is in port by 15:10 and departs at 20:15 or later.

If your times pass neither test, a safari is not going to fit that day, and we will say so rather than try to squeeze you in. If your papers hint at an overnight stay, or the times look borderline, send us a WhatsApp message with what your documents say.

How a ride slots in around the ship

Our part of the day does not move. For the morning session, you walk about 50 m from the cruise port exit to the Kervansaray meeting point (The Big Ottoman Palace) and meet us there at 10:10. Here is the pin. The drive to the start takes about 15 minutes. From 11:00 you spend roughly two hours on pine-forest trails behind Pamucak beach, with a 30-minute stop on the beach itself, and you are back at the port between 13:45 and 14:15.

The afternoon session follows the same route: meet at 15:10, ride from 16:00, back at the port between 18:45 and 19:15.

Which ride for which guest

The quad safari and the buggy safari need no driving licence. Drivers must be 16 or older, vehicles come as singles or doubles, and everyone gets a helmet, goggles and a safety briefing before the convoy sets off behind the guide. Children under about 2 cannot come along. If you would rather not drive at all, the horse safari suits beginners from age 8 (younger riders with an experienced companion), in a small group led by a riding guide. On that tour, a swim at the beach depends on the season.

Booking once your times are confirmed

When your documents or the ship page show real times, open the cruise day planner, choose Emerald Raiya and your date, and it will show which session fits and fill in the form. Until the times are known, it will simply say they have not been announced.

Spending a night in Kuşadası before or after the cruise? On that day the ship's hours make no difference, and you can book any date from April to November with a pickup from your hotel.
