MSC Divina's Monday in Kuşadası: a safari plan for families
MSC Divina keeps things simple in Kuşadası. Every call on the port schedule as of early October 2026 is on a Monday, and every one runs from 09:00 to 18:00. The same hours, the same weekday, and the same answer each time: our 11:00 safari fits, and the 16:00 one does not.
That leaves the interesting question for families: who in your group can do which ride? Ages and driving rules decide more on a Divina Monday than the clock does, so most of this post is about that. For the dates themselves, the MSC Divina calls page lists every call with its live port hours.
MSC Divina is a Fantasia-class ship that joined MSC Cruises in 2012, with room for about 3,502 passengers according to Wikipedia.
When she is in town
The schedule shows ten calls over the next 12 months, in two blocks. Three Mondays are still ahead this autumn: 12, 19 and 26 October 2026. After that there is a long gap with nothing listed from November to May. She returns on Monday 28 June 2027, then calls on 26 July, 2 August, 23 August, 6 September and 20 September 2027.
All of those dates sit inside the months when our trails are open. We only close between 1 December and 31 March, and the riding starts again on 1 April, so there is no seasonal catch to worry about.
A Monday from 09:00 to 18:00
The ship is in at 09:00. The meeting time for the morning ride is 10:10, so you have a bit over an hour to get everyone fed, dressed for dust and off the ship. With children, that hour goes quickly. Pack swimwear and a towel the night before, because there is a beach stop later.
Our meeting point is Kervansaray, also known as The Big Ottoman Palace, about 50 m from the cruise port exit. If you want to see it before you go, here it is on Google Maps. We drive the group from there to the start, which takes around 15 minutes.
At 11:00 the safari begins. Expect roughly two hours on forest tracks through the pines behind Pamucak beach, including a 30-minute break at the beach itself.
The group is back at the port between 13:45 and 14:15. MSC Divina sails at 18:00, so you still have between 3 hours 45 minutes and 4 hours 15 minutes. We ask for at least 60 minutes, so this is a relaxed margin, with time for a late lunch ashore or a rest on board. Do still read the all-aboard time in your daily programme, as it is usually earlier than the departure time.
Why not the 16:00 ride? Meeting at 15:10 would be fine, but that tour comes back between 18:45 and 19:15, after the ship has gone. For the afternoon session to work, she would need to stay until 20:15 or later.
Who can ride what
This is where families should spend a minute before booking.
Quad and buggy
On the quad safari and the buggy safari, the driver must be 16 or older. Nobody needs a driving licence. Both come as single or double vehicles, so a parent can drive with a younger child as passenger, and a teenager of 16 or 17 can take the wheel of their own. Children younger than about 2 years cannot come on either tour.
Everyone wears a helmet and goggles, and there is a safety briefing before the start. The group then rides in convoy behind a guide, at a pace set for the whole group.
Horse
The horse safari is open from age 8, and younger children can ride with an experienced adult companion. It suits complete beginners, goes out in a small group with a riding guide, and helmets are provided. One difference from the engine tours: swimming at the beach stop on horseback depends on the season.
Mixed groups
A family with a wide age range can also split up. For example, a teenager and one parent might take a double buggy while an 8-year-old rides with another adult on the horse safari. Both run at 11:00 with the same 10:10 meeting time at Kervansaray and the same 13:45–14:15 return window, so the whole family keeps one timetable. Booking for your Monday

Cruise lines sometimes adjust port hours after sailings go on sale. If MSC Divina's departure moved earlier than 15:15 on your date, the morning ride would no longer leave enough margin.
