MSC Fantasia's autumn calls in Kuşadası: why we say no safari
MSC Fantasia has five Kuşadası calls on the port schedule as of early October 2026, and all five are this autumn: Wednesday 7 October, Friday 16 October, Sunday 25 October, Tuesday 3 November and Thursday 12 November 2026. After that, nothing appears for her in the 12 months the schedule covers.
The hours are identical every time. She ties up at 07:00 and sails at 15:00. Sadly that means a plain no from us for every one of those dates. Neither of our safari sessions can be fitted in, and we would rather show you why than let you find out on the quay. Counting back from 15:00
Start with the departure and work backwards.
The ship leaves at 15:00. Our rule is that every guest is back at the port at least 60 minutes before departure, so on an MSC Fantasia day the latest acceptable return would be 14:00. The all-aboard time in your daily programme is usually earlier still, which makes that hour more important, not less.
Now look at the earliest ride we run. The 11:00 safari starts with a meeting at 10:10 at the Kervansaray meeting point (The Big Ottoman Palace), about 50 m from the cruise port exit. A drive of about 15 minutes takes the group to the trails behind Pamucak beach. The ride lasts about two hours and includes a 30-minute sea break. We get back to the port between 13:45 and 14:15.
So the return window runs past 14:00. On a good day the group might be back at 13:45. On another day it is 14:15, a quarter of an hour after the point where we would want you already at the port. A plan that works only when everything runs early is not a plan we are willing to sell you, so we do not take MSC Fantasia passengers on these calls.
The 16:00 session is out of the question. The group meets at 15:10, ten minutes after the ship has gone.
The arithmetic we would need
For the 11:00 ride, the ship would have to leave at 15:15 or later. That is only a quarter of an hour more than she has now, but the line sets the times, not us. For the 16:00 ride she would need to stay until 20:15 or later. Her 07:00 arrival is not the problem. It is early enough for either session; the departure is what decides it.
If any of the five dates moves, the cruise day planner and the ship page will both show the new answer straight away. Until then, the planner will not offer a session for her calls.
Five weekdays, nine days apart
There is no favourite weekday here. The five calls fall on a Wednesday, a Friday, a Sunday, a Tuesday and a Thursday, each nine days after the one before. Three are in October and two in November. That last one, Thursday 12 November, is still inside our riding season: the safaris are closed for winter from 1 December to 31 March, opening again on 1 April. The season is not the issue for MSC Fantasia; the clock is.
Staying on in Kuşadası
The no applies only to riding out from the ship and back again on the same day. If your trip includes a night in a Kuşadası hotel before or after the cruise, you can book any day of our season (April to November) and we will collect you from the hotel.
In that case, here is what is on offer. The horse safari suits beginners aged 8 and over, in a small group with a riding guide, and children younger than that can ride with an experienced companion. The quad safari and buggy safari need no licence; drivers must be at least 16, and children under about 2 years cannot join. All three take about two hours on pine-forest trails and stop for 30 minutes at Pamucak beach. On the horse tour, swimming in the sea depends on the season, and these are late-autumn dates.

Before you give up on the idea
MSC Fantasia is a Fantasia-class ship that MSC Cruises has sailed since 2008, with room for about 3,274 guests at double occupancy. A ship's Kuşadası hours can be revised close to sailing. If you are booked on one of these five dates, open the MSC Fantasia ship page a week or so before. If the departure has moved to 15:15 or later, the page will say the morning ride fits, and we will be glad to see you at Kervansaray.
