Nautica in Kuşadası: one clear June morning, one open question

Oceania's Nautica has just two Kuşadası dates on the port schedule as of early October 2026, and they sit six days apart in June 2027. June is well inside our riding season, which opens each year on 1 April after the trails have been closed from 1 December to 31 March. On Monday 14 June she is due in at 07:00 and out at 16:00. On Sunday 20 June she is listed to arrive at 10:00, with no departure time yet. Those two days need very different advice, so we will take them one at a time.
Current hours for both calls are on the Nautica ship page, which updates when the schedule does.
A word on the name. Nautica entered service in 2000, built as R Five for Renaissance Cruises, and has sailed for Oceania since 2005. She belongs to the R class and carries about 670 guests by Oceania's own figure. Oceania plans to rebuild her and relaunch her as Oceania Aurelia, with a debut planned for late 2027, so you may see either name, or both, on port lists. For Kuşadası in June 2027 it is the same ship.
Monday 14 June 2027: the morning ride works
A 07:00 arrival gives you an unhurried start. Here is how the day lines up with our 11:00 safari:
- 07:00 Nautica docks. Breakfast, then off the ship whenever suits you.
- 10:10 meet us at the Kervansaray (The Big Ottoman Palace), roughly 50 m from where you leave the cruise port. Map link.
- A drive of about 15 minutes takes you out to the pine forest behind Pamucak beach.
- 11:00 the ride begins. It lasts about 2 hours, with 30 minutes of that spent at the sea on Pamucak beach.
- Between 13:45 and 14:15 you are dropped back at the port.
Our rule is that you must be back at least 60 minutes before the ship sails. With a 16:00 departure, that means 15:00 at the latest, and the latest drop-off of 14:15 leaves 45 minutes to spare beyond that hour. The all-aboard time in your daily programme is usually earlier than 16:00, so check it on the morning and tell your guide if it looks tight.
The 16:00 tour is not possible on this date. It needs the ship to stay until 20:15 or later, and Nautica leaves more than four hours before that.
Sunday 20 June 2027: wait for the departure time
This call is the open question. The schedule gives an arrival of 10:00 but no departure, and we will not guess one. What we can do is show you how to read it once the time appears.
- The 11:00 tour needs the ship in port by 10:10 and leaving at 15:15 or later. On paper a 10:00 arrival is just inside the first condition, but ten minutes is very little time to get ashore and walk to Kervansaray. If the departure turns out to be 15:15 or later, message us on WhatsApp before booking and we will talk it through honestly.
- The 16:00 tour needs her in port by 15:10, which a 10:00 arrival easily covers, and leaving at 20:15 or later. That second part is the one to watch for.
If the departure stays unpublished, the times in your cruise documents count. Apply the same two checks and you will know where you stand.
Picking a vehicle or a horse
The quad safari is the most hands-on option: no driving licence needed, drivers from 16, single or double machines, and a guide leading the group in convoy. The buggy safari follows the same rules, just in a buggy rather than on a quad. Both come with a helmet, goggles and a safety briefing, and children younger than about 2 cannot join. For something slower, the horse safari suits beginners aged 8 and up, with younger children riding alongside an experienced adult companion. It goes out as a small group behind a riding guide. Swimming at the beach stop depends on the season.
Booking your Nautica date
The cruise day planner is the quickest route. Choose Nautica, pick 14 or 20 June, and it shows which session fits and fills in the booking form. The reservation page is there too if you prefer to fill things in yourself.
Before you commit, look at the full list of Nautica calls once more. For a ship heading towards a new name, the schedule is worth a second look.
