A Seabourn Ovation Wednesday in Kuşadası, from 08:00 to 23:00

Fifteen hours is a generous port day. As of early October 2026, the port schedule lists two Kuşadası calls for Seabourn Ovation in the coming twelve months: Wednesday 26 May 2027 and Wednesday 18 August 2027. Both run from 08:00 to 23:00. Same weekday, same hours, nearly three months apart.

That pattern makes our side of the planning simple. Both of our safari sessions fit both dates. The more interesting question is what you want the rest of a 15-hour day to look like, and that is mostly what this post covers. If the hours ever change, the Seabourn Ovation planner page will show it first.

Seabourn Ovation is an Encore-class ship that entered service in 2018. Seabourn gives her capacity as about 600 guests.

Splitting a long day in two

With the ship in port until 23:00, the day falls naturally into two halves, and the safari can go in either.

Ride in the morning. Get off the ship at your own pace after the 08:00 arrival. Be at the Kervansaray (The Big Ottoman Palace), a short walk of about 50 m from the cruise port gate, by 10:10. Here is the location on the map. From there it is about a quarter of an hour by road to the trails. The 11:00 ride runs for about 2 hours through pine forest behind Pamucak beach, half an hour of which is a stop at the sea. Drop-off at the port is between 13:45 and 14:15, so the whole afternoon and evening stay free.

Ride in the late afternoon. Spend the morning as you like, then meet us at the same place at 15:10. The 16:00 ride follows the same route and the same sea break, and you are back at the port between 18:45 and 19:15. Departure is not until 23:00.

How much margin each session leaves

We ask every cruise guest to be back at the port no less than 60 minutes before the ship leaves. For Seabourn Ovation's hours, that hour is easily covered:

11:00 ride 16:00 ride
Meet at Kervansaray 10:10 15:10
Back at port 13:45–14:15 18:45–19:15
Left before 23:00 departure roughly 8¾ hours roughly 3¾ hours

The one figure we cannot see is your all-aboard time. It is printed in the daily programme and is usually earlier than the departure, so glance at it once the programme reaches you. On a 23:00 sailing it would have to be unusually early to affect either ride.

May or August: what changes

The clock is identical on both calls, so the plan above works for each. What differs is the season. Our horse safari includes a beach stop where a swim is possible or not depending on the time of year, so if that matters to you, ask us about your date. Both calls fall comfortably inside our riding season. The only closed months are the winter ones, 1 December to 31 March, and the rides restart on 1 April, well ahead of her May visit.

Which ride suits your group

If you want to drive, the buggy safari and the quad safari both work without a driving licence. Drivers need to be 16 or older, vehicles come as singles or doubles, and everyone gets a helmet, goggles and a safety briefing before following the guide in convoy. Children under about 2 years old cannot ride. The horse safari is the gentler choice. It welcomes beginners from age 8, with younger children accompanied by an experienced adult companion, and rides in a small group led by a riding guide, helmet included.

Getting your Wednesday booked

Choose Seabourn Ovation and your Wednesday in the cruise day planner. It will show both sessions as suitable and prepare the booking form for the one you pick. You can also go straight to the reservation page.

Schedules do shift, and an earlier departure would mainly affect the 16:00 option, which needs the ship to stay until at least 20:15. A quick check of all Seabourn Ovation calls and their current hours before you travel settles it.
