Seven Seas Navigator in Kuşadası: a January-only schedule

On the current schedule, Seven Seas Navigator's Kuşadası season lasts one month, and it is a month when we do not ride at all. The port schedule as of early October 2026 lists three calls over the next 12 months: Saturday 2 January, Tuesday 12 January and Sunday 17 January 2027. Our quad, buggy and horse safaris are closed from 1 December to 31 March and run again from April. So the answer for all three dates is the same: it is the winter closure, and there is no safari on any of her current calls.

That is the honest headline. The rest of this post explains what her port hours would mean on the clock, so you can read your own date on the Seven Seas Navigator ship page, and what to look for if her schedule changes.

Three visits, three timetables

Seven Seas Navigator sails for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. She entered service in 1999 and carries about 490 guests. Her three January calls fall on three different weekdays, and each has its own hours. Looked at purely on the clock, each date tells a different story.

We work with two sessions, 11:00 and 16:00, and one firm rule: you must be back at the port at least 60 minutes before the ship leaves. Cruise guests meet us at the Kervansaray meeting point (The Big Ottoman Palace), about 50 m from the port exit, at 10:10 for the morning ride or 15:10 for the afternoon one.

What the clock would say in season

Saturday 2 January 2027, 09:00 to 19:00. On timing alone, the 11:00 tour would work. Arrival leaves a little over an hour before 10:10, and a return by 14:15 leaves well over four hours before departure. The 16:00 tour would not, because its latest return at 19:15 comes after the ship has gone.

Tuesday 12 January 2027, 11:00 to 20:00. Neither session fits, even on paper. She arrives at 11:00, which is after the 10:10 meeting time for the morning ride. The afternoon group is back between 18:45 and 19:15; against a 20:00 departure that leaves 45 minutes, and we need 60. The ship would have to stay until 20:15 or later.

Sunday 17 January 2027, 07:00 to 23:00. The longest of the three days. On the clock, both sessions would fit with hours to spare.

None of this changes the answer for January. A date that fits on the clock is still in the winter closure, and no tour runs that day. Treat these paragraphs only as a way of reading her timetable, which is useful if she ever calls in season with similar hours.

On your January call

Enjoy the town on your call, and keep the trails in mind for a trip between April and the end of November. If your plans bring you back to Kuşadası in that period and you stay overnight before or after a cruise, you can ride on any day, with pickup from your hotel.

What the rides involve in season

For readers planning a future season, here is what you would be booking. The buggy safari and the quad safari each take about two hours on pine-forest trails behind Pamucak beach, with a 30-minute sea break on the beach. No driving licence is needed; drivers must be 16 or older, and single or double vehicles are available. Everyone gets a helmet, goggles and a safety briefing, and the group follows a guide in convoy. Children younger than about 2 years cannot join. The horse safari suits beginners from age 8 (younger children with an experienced adult companion) and goes out in a small group with a riding guide.

An in-season morning looks like this: 10:10 at Kervansaray (map), about 15 minutes by road to the start, riding from 11:00, and back at the port between 13:45 and 14:15.

Keeping an eye on her schedule

Cruise schedules move. If Seven Seas Navigator is given a call between April and the end of November, the full list of Seven Seas Navigator calls will show it, together with the session that fits on the clock. For an in-season date, the cruise day planner makes the same check and fills in the booking form. Her current January calls will stay without a safari, whatever their hours.
