Sirena in Kuşadası: two Fridays that fit and one date to watch

Sirena's three Kuşadası calls in 2027 are not all at the same stage. The port schedule as of early October 2026 gives full hours for two of them, Friday 4 June and Friday 30 July 2027, and both suit our 11:00 safari. The third, Tuesday 18 May 2027, is on the list, but the port times have not been announced yet.

Sirena is an R-class ship from Oceania Cruises. She entered service in 1999 and carries about 684 guests. The Sirena ship page is where the hours for that May date will appear once they are published. Here we take the three calls one at a time.

Friday 30 July: the early start

This call gives you the most room in the morning. Sirena arrives at 08:00 and sails at 18:00.

  • 08:00 arrival. Breakfast, then an easy walk off the ship.
  • 10:10 meet us at the Kervansaray meeting point (The Big Ottoman Palace), about 50 m from the cruise port exit (map).
  • About 15 minutes by road to the start of the trails behind Pamucak beach.
  • 11:00 the ride: around two hours in the pine forest, including a 30-minute sea break on Pamucak beach.
  • 13:45 to 14:15 back at the port.
  • 18:00 departure.

That leaves roughly three and three-quarter hours after the latest return. We ask for at least 60 minutes before the ship leaves, so there is plenty in hand. Still, check the all-aboard time in the daily programme, because it usually comes before the departure time.

Friday 4 June: an hour later at both ends

On 4 June the hours are 09:00 to 19:00. The ride is the same, but the morning is shorter. There is a little over an hour between arrival and the 10:10 meeting, so be ready to go ashore promptly. The afternoon, on the other hand, is longer: from the latest return at 14:15 to a 19:00 departure is well over four hours.

The 16:00 session does not work on either Friday. The afternoon group is back between 18:45 and 19:15, and for that tour the ship needs to stay until 20:15 or later. Departures at 18:00 and 19:00 fall short of that.

Tuesday 18 May: what to check when the times appear

Until the hours for this call are published, we cannot say which session fits, and we will not guess. When they appear, on your cruise documents or on the ship page, two quick checks give the answer:

  1. For the 11:00 ride, Sirena must be in port by 10:10 and leave at 15:15 or later.
  2. For the 16:00 ride, she must be in port by 15:10 and leave at 20:15 or later.

If neither condition is met, a safari does not fit that day. We would rather tell you that than try to squeeze a ride in.

One thing the date already settles is the season. Our winter closure runs from 1 December until 31 March, and by 18 May we will have been riding again since 1 April.

Which of the three rides

The quad safari and the buggy safari are for people who want to drive themselves. No driving licence is needed, drivers must be 16 or older, and you can choose a single or double vehicle. Each rider gets a helmet and goggles, there is a safety briefing first, and a guide leads the convoy. Children younger than about 2 years cannot ride.

The horse safari suits beginners from age 8, or younger children with an experienced adult companion, in a small group with a riding guide. On that tour, swimming at the beach break depends on the season, so mention your date when you book. For a May or June call it is worth asking.

Getting your Sirena date booked

For either Friday, open the cruise day planner, select Sirena and the date, and it confirms the 11:00 ride and fills in the booking form. The reservation page works too.

For the May call, wait until the hours are out, then look it up in the full list of Sirena calls. That list follows schedule changes and shows which session fits each date, so it is also worth a final look before either Friday.
